ACE Impact – Morocco Partnership Forum

he Africa Higher Ed. Centers of Excellence-ACE Impact is a program funded by the world Bank to address the specific common regional development challenges in Africa through applied research and training. The 9th Edition ACE Impact forum was held in Marrakech during May 31st – June 2nd and was attended by more than 300 participants representing Vice Chancellors, government representatives, managers, experts, African university leaders, and numerous stakeholders.
NELGA North Africa as one of the excellent centers in the field of land policies and land governance in Africa has been represented by his coordinator Professor Moha El-ayachi who participated in the panel discussion between the ACEs and MENA universities. As a panelist, the coordinator shared with the attendees the philosophy behind establishing the NELGA program, which is funded by the German cooperation GIZ under the umbrella of the African Land Policy Centre in Addis Ababa. He highlighted the best practices of the North African hub in terms of training and research.
During the Thematic Breakout Sessions aiming to initiate and foster the partnerships, Professor El-Ayachi has presented the Northern Africa research opportunities and the Executive Master program on Land governance, Economics and strategic management.
The shared initiative is the result of several efforts made by numerous partner universities in North Africa namely the Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine Hassan II as the focal Point of the Network, the University Tunis El Manar, the University of Khartoum, the Cairo University, the Nouakchott Alasria University, and the Higher School of Agriculture in Alger.
